How to find Synonyms in Google

To lookup synonyms in Google use a Tilda ‘~’ before the search term.

If you go to Google Search and type in ~apple. Google will then bold all of the Google Synonyms. Scroll through every page returned and you will notice Quicktime, G4, Mac, Computer and so on.

There is another way to discover these but it will occasional miss a few. Type ~apple -apple into Google, write down the word in bold. Repeat this but slowly exclude one new word from the search string each time ~apple -apple -g4 -… and so on.

G4 - Mac - Windows - Computer - G3 - Macintosh - Imac - Quicktime.
