How to Find Niche Ideas

Like many people starting out, your probably trying to figure out how to find as many killer niche ideas as possible.

All the guru’s will tell you 2 things.

1. Find a Passion
2. Make sure there is money in the market
3. And stick to one project

Most of us will abandon #1 for the sake of finding one killer niche that will makes us into Millionaires …by next month! We then ignore #3 which sends us back scratching around desperately at #1

But lets get real here, the odds are against you in your search to find one killer niche, unless you are prepared to do 5 things.

1. Do heaps of market research
2. Come up with a killer business plan
3. Come up with a killer marketing plan
4. Stick to it
5. and Work, Work, Work!

If you know what your passion is and its still a current passion and not just something you used to love and be really good at. Start your journey in profitable niche finding there!

If your are still trying to discover passion, and do not know what your niche passion is then the next exercise is specifically designed for you, but it will take time. You cannot uncover this overnight or force it in any way. You need to live with the ideas for some time.

How To Find a Killer Niche

First put all ideas of making money from a niche, out of your head.

1. Go and grab a domain name based around your real name
2. Hook it in with some cheap hosting
   
3. Access your cpanel and install Wordpress via the easy Fantastico link
4. Now, every night surf the web for things you like, are into, would buy, have bought, have read, and so on.
5. Write a short (100 words max) blog post for everything you find
   (use the ScribeFire plugin for FireFox and don’t be precious)
6. Categorize every post into different areas of things you like (as you publish).
7. Track your traffic and number of posts accumulating in each category
8. Be patient. This may take a year! Just keep blogging as you surf
   (devote one hour per night to uncovering you current passions)
9. Try and discover if different categories tie together at any point and keep researching and writing about the fullest categories
10. Analyze your posts at he end of each month. Eventually your ‘Killer Niche’ will be the one you are still exploring and writing about, the one you are still excited about, this should be the one you now go on to Monetize.

It took me 2 and half years of playing in some great niches, to come full circle and realize what the niche was that really gets me excited and that I would go into even if it was going to cost me money. That’s the kind of Passion that when married with a well thought out business plan, will lead to guaranteed success in your wealth, health and happiness.

Interesting for me was that it was not a passion I had fully explored or made manifest yet. Many people try and look into their past when searching for a passion or niche. But that Killer Niche may be around the corner, in your future, two months away. If you not trying to force the process for the sake of making money, you will know when you find it… You will find unlimited excitement in the dreams of who you want to be!

The internet will make it possible to be the person at the top of that niche! Simply by devoting a continuous effort to research and talking/writing about EVERY ONE else, already competing in that niche.
