Everyone has there place in the world of online business and if your not providing some excellent value, then how can you expect to recieve value in return. The days of picking 10 affiliate products in the same niche and creating a 15 page product review site are numbered (unless well funded). Google is about to hit these affiliate sites hard, for one there are too many of them and it’s obvious (to the trained eye) that they offer no value, the reviews are not real or based on a genuine purchases and trials, the only reason they exist is to drive traffic towards a commission sale. And with Google holding ‘the switch’ that determines whether your site gets traffic or not, the product review site (as we know it) is hardly a sound model to build your business around.

Unless… Your prepared to; actual buy and test products and services, review products honestly with no ulterior motives, continue to post reviews either daily or weekly, remain committed to researching everything there is to know about your ONE chosen niche. Your readers come to you because you condense 3 days of research down to a 3 minute read or video, they get to know you, they trust you and you deliver excellent value.

• Platform: The platform here is ONE well chosen niche website, there is no room for creating 10-100 QUALITY product review sites, it just wont happen. Instead you consistently research your one niche and publish the essence of your research as daily posts, articles and reports. Your best tool is a combination of libraries, bookshops and the internet.
• The Work: The work is research and content creation, if you drop the ball on either of those two things your websites will loose momentum and fall under the spell of the natural law of entropy. Yes, an product review site with only 15 pages and 10 reviews can make a few hundreds dollars every week on autopilot, but, eventually you will wake up one days and wonder where all your traffic went. Publish one new, well researched, quality article every week and you will tread water. Publish two a day and within one year, you will not only have a million dollar website on your hands, you will have every manufacturer, provider and merchant in your niche vying for some time in front of your audience.
• The Income: This Business model will work best if you can afford to concentrate on creating regular content for 12 to 18 months, before you monetize or place any affiliate links on your site. Get the eyeballs, the loyal readers, the great reviews, excellent feedback, well deserved back-links and then deals will arrive naturally at a time when they wont hurt your site or make it smell like ‘ just another affiliate or Adsense site. I know of a single researcher/publisher who posted car reviews and articles 4 times a day for a whole year with absolutely no income or money making links on his website, they day he finally turned the Adsense on, he was making $12,000 a day. During year 2 the car manufacturers where delivering cars to his door for 4 day test drives. By year 3 he was turning down offers of 3 million dollars for his website.
• The Business: While this business model requires a lot of dedication and patience, it is one of the most lucrative. The primary difference between a The Publisher and The Researcher, is the nature of the content. The researcher centers his focus around the products including, tests, trials, reviews, plus some comparative data and supporting articles. Eg - Start with a 15 page review site for acne products, but you need friends and family with acne, you need to actually buy the products, aim towards trying every alternative, research every ingredient, explore natural remedies, interview dermatologists, read every book on the subject, and eventually publish your own guide to natural acne remedies. The Publisher, however, is akin to the blogger, his content is more general and he does not have to restrict his niche choice to a type of product.
