I would like you to think of the pre-seller as a cross between a salesman and warm-up guy for a T.V. show. So why not just call this business model the salesman? Both the salesman and the pre-seller are in the business of being the middle man and promoting other peoples products, But, I have the salesman in his own category and separated him from the pre-seller based on the additional learning curved and investment required to make this an actual business.

The pre-seller is at the kindergarten end of online marketing and there are no set up costs or expenses to consider, other than your time.

The path way above can actually bypass the Pre-Seller and still make money online. We are just positioning ourselves in between the customer and the salesman as a second middle man taking a cut of the profits on affiliate products.

  • Platform: There are literally thousands of free online platforms to use for this model. Websites that have some social elements and also allow its users to contribute and create content.
  • The Work: Your job is to; pick a product online that has an affiliate program, discover product related keywords that have some traffic but a lower number of websites competing for that keyword in the search engines, create simple pre-sell (warm up) page on a free platform that leads to the actual salespage or salesman for that product. Remember you don’t have to sell it, your job is lead generation. Capture the potential customer keep him interested and moving through to the official sale page via your affiliate link.
  • The Income: A lot of bum marketing and affiliate marketing guru’s will tell you that the basic income you can earn is directly related to
    (PROSPECTS x 1%) x (COMMISSION) and while 1% is a fair conversion rate for the number of visitors to a beginners pre-sell page that will then click through to actually buying a product (1 in 100). Don’t forget that there are two virtual middle men in the affiliate scenario, the pre-seller and the sales page. Therefore your prospects will need to go through the formula twice [(PROSPECTS x 1%) x 1%] x (COMMISSION). So if 10,000 people read your pre-sell for a $30 commission product, your expected income is not $3000 it’s $30
  • The Business: This is NOT a business! It is however a great entrance point and low cost training ground for internet marketing. Internet marketing being the one essential skill, required for every one of the Top Ten Online Business Models. Becoming a Pre-Seller should be undertaken as a direct stepping stone to becoming; The Salesman, The Researcher, The Re-seller, or The Creator.  The pre-seller’s game is a numbers game, keywords with a higher commercial intent, more traffic, more click throughs, better converting products and sales pages, higher affiliate commissions, recurring and future commissions. But above everything else its success lies in being prolific and applying yourself to the rinse and repeat approach to doing the work of create more and more pre-sell pages.
