Are you thinking Money or Business?

A lot of people get online and eventually land on a ‘Make Money Online’ scheme and hey! Why not!. They give it a shot!

You may have even done this already.

  • Multi Level - pass on my startup debt to my soon to be NOT friends - marketing.
  • A bunch of crap packaged up with Adsense website spamming.
  • Click my affiliate link and buy a product I highly recommend, even though I haven’t even bought it myself yet.

The trouble with this is;  the crud your producing is crap, your crap at it, and basically your just trying to replicate some crappy idea because some guy you have never met has convinced you that your going to make a fortune overnight. It’s a tower of crap. Crap on crap on crap!

And sure you can make $10,000 a month from an empire of Adsense sites, only to wake up one morning and find accounts closed and your entire income reduced to $3 a week. Right back where you started.

Why?

It ain’t no way to do business!

So what should you be looking for when recreating a REAL business model for a more secure interweb income stream?

Ohh… Just before I get into this. Are you unemployed or desperate for money? If so then ‘Get A Job‘. Internet marketing is not for the desperate, you will just end up in more debt as you get sucked into more and more shortcuts and get rich quick schemes. This is for you only if you have patience, a basic income, and a desire to create a second income stream that may one day surpass and replace your day job.

5 Essentials For A Real Online Business

  1. Fun and Passion
Creating stuff is easy, but maintaining enthusiasm and sustaining an active daily commitment will require a genuine interest and love for the niche you have chosen to work in. Follow your favorite distractions and uncover the niche that will combine income with passion.
  2. Automation
This does not have to be 100% automation but it will make life a heck of a lot easier if processes within your chosen business model can be automated or outsourced. This means that the money making processes can be happening while you are asleep or simply enjoying life rather than working 24/7. But initially be prepared to work bloody hard.
  3. Scalability
The concept of scalability is actually quite simple, often forgotten but it’s simple enough to grasp. You need to be constantly aware of scalability when your qualifying potential business models and ideas down to the ONE your going to work on.
Scalability is best explain with a question…
‘If you had 10 times the amount of clients/work/sales, would you have to work ten times as hard?’ If the answer is yes, I give one hour coaching calls over the phone, then your business is NOT scalable. If the answer is no, I sell an ebook online, then your business is highly scalable because you could ‘potentially’ sell one million ebooks overnight and not have to lift a finger. Selling 10 or 1000 makes no difference to your workload.
  4. Product Creation and Growth
The question here is CAN you have your own product line or a close connection to; the products, the value of each product, and the growth of your product line. This does not mean you have to have your own product to begin with but the potential should be built into your plan from day one. So yes you can start with a blog about herbal remedies for acne and have a few affiliate links to some acne products but that’s not a real business and it will never be stable until you write the ‘Herbal Remedies for Acne Ebook’, stock and package the products yourself or create your very own products. Having the abiliaty and access to increase the value of the products you sell is a key factor here.
  5. Focus and Commitment
Don’t underestimate this! The world and more specifically the internet is jam packed full with an endless number of distractions at every corner. Success will require an almost monk-like discipline and single mindedness to get straight into the work every day for three years. One business plan. One niche. No distractions.

    DO THE WORK!

Just make sure your working on a real business and not some half-cocked get rich scheme cooked up by some dude who simply wants to make a fast buck from selling the scheme to suckers looking for shortcuts!

  • I am looking for a hard money loan to purchase inventory and to rent a kiosk in the mall for the holidays for my business. I have tried the banks and they say my credit score isn't high enough or they would like to see more cash flow. I have high margin inventory as much as 80% profit margin, so I can turn the inventory quickly. Just looking for a company that will lend the money quickly. Please only legitimate answers.
  • I can't begin to describe how many hours I spend on the phone trying to get other small businesses, like a Taxi service, to pay our small business for our services. I was thinking that there must be an easier way to get them to sign up at PayPal or something and then we could just deduct the money when needed. Is there a good way to do this? I'm very tired of calling someone's BS about sending checks and such. Thanks!

    Hi JD,

I'm an affiliate to SFI. Don't know if you have heard of it? But I want to know if your program will work with SFI affiliate. SO basically I have to advertise and sponsor other affiliates. So far I've recruited 4 affiliates. And making peanuts. But I do think it can be a profitable business, in future. The hard thing is referring people to buy or sell they're stuff on the online store they have. You think your course would be something that can help me with my affiliation with SFI?

    Thanks,
    Nelson

Certainly Nelson, SFI is one affiliate account that links you to a mass of products. The key to success with SFI will be picking a niche group of products and building a simple wordpress blog around that niche group. AKA my Product Review model!

Thanks JD. Your course does explain how to do this? I'm very new to this.
  • i'm thinking about starting a business. it would put me about 2k further into debt. i've about 2 1/2 years worth of credits left to graduate from college. I think the business will flourish. I'm thinking about being a dj for weddings and parties. I would be using my student loans or using the money I save from work.
